Philosophy Of Government 2
As a teacher this I-chip thing insults me. Now my students don’t need me anymore. Let me see what can I do? The Constitution! The constitution is basically the laws of our society. Everyone lives by them. Yes as a citizen I do believe our constitution effectively resolves conflict because it creates checks and balances, citizens still have rights and government responds to conflict by changing law. Because of the constitution congress can propose bills, anyone can create a lawsuit by government even citizens and your voice is always heard by congress or jury and through the 1st. amendments.
One way the constitution solves conflict is through bills, which can be proposed by congress. In the constitution article 1, section 7; it stated that every bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and Senate shall, become a law. During a bill to the president, the President vetoed. More than 2/3 votes by legislative overruled it. The bill was very special. It helped out and solved many citizens’ problems such as the teacher. Students wouldn’t be able to get the I-chip they had to be 18 or over. So the bill was passed.
The government can be sued if he violates the people’s rights and being unfair. If the government either violates amendments 1 and 4 or the Patriot Act, they could be sued by a citizen. While the simulation act was going on the government was being very unfair, he was sued by a citizen and taken to the Supreme Court. The supreme courts issued a ruling. Later the Supreme Court issued a ruling. Later supreme courts declared a bill that was unconstitutional.
Even the smallest people are heard by the biggest people thank to the constitution. The constitution states in article 4, section 2 citizens shall be entitled to all privileges, such as freedom of speech (the right to be heard). During the simulation a teacher felt dumbfounded about a new law the president was trying to pass by the House of Representatives, congress held a hearing at the house where citizens asked their questions. Speaker of the hose created a bill to define restrictions for the I-chip.
To conclude my philosophy of government, as a citizen I believe our constitution effectively resolved conflict because it speaks fairness, and freedom of speech. Congress can propose bills, lawsuits made by the government being wrong and little people like teachers being heard by the president. Wow!
